Block: Unnarrated

An ongoing project, exploring the streets of Jaffa which are in the midst of a gentrification process. Each piece was created by observing structures for hours. The sketches and paintings brought to life homes and drew me in. I found myself excavating the layers of history from behind closed doors or scaffolding. Piecing together pre-Nakba stories of Palestinian homes from fragments of information which cease abruptly in 1948.
These works employ mixed media - sketch work, acrylic and ink on paper / wood, canvas, transfer techniques, collage and digital work done on iphone.

One a Day

A Poster a Day, was a project where everyday is a new one. My goal was to create a poster everyday for a year, regardless of time / resources constrictions. Working with daily experiences, exploring and experimenting, resulted in 365 images, digital. The media used varied from photos, digital work, collage, sketch and paint, often mixed. Below are a few select images.

Sift through Grids

A series of acrylic paintings on canvas / wood, using also paper and cardboard clippings, was an experimentation of light and dark spaces, neatly organized in grids. It was largely inspired by the process of relocating, building a new “life” and contrast of living in between the dark cold winter of Copenhagen and the sunny warm winter days of Jaffa.
